PIZZA PARTY & RACE SEMINAR ADDED:

The Adirondack 540 Preview Ride will include a pizza party and informal race seminar, held immediately after the ride, at about 7 PM. Riders and their crew/family/friends are invited to join us for pizza and an opportunity to ask questions about training, nutrition, logistics, equipment and strategy. We'll also have a race checklist, and may even have a couple of veterans and other experts on hand to offer their advice and answer questions.  Hope you can make it!

RIDE DETAILS:

The 2013 one-lap, 136-mile, Adirondack 540 Preview Ride will be held June 22nd, 2013. Mark your calendar!

This ride is held free of charge and is open to anyone, but is unsupported.

It's a great opportunity to ride the course first hand with other ultra marathoners under friendly, non competitive conditions. Even if you're not planning on doing the race, it's still a wonderful ride and is part of the Adirondack Ultra Challenge.

The ride will start promptly at 7:00 AM. Please give yourself adequate time to arrive, sign in and get ready to ride. Riders are expected to be on the start line at least 15 minutes before the start for last minute instructions.

We'll meet at the Alpine Country Inn and Suites, located at 5647 Route 86 in Wilmington. Their phone numbers are: 518.946.2263 or 877.946.2263 and we recommend staying there if you need overnight accommodations. If you do not stay there, please ask the event director or motel management for parking instructions.

Please note that this ride will be unsupported on the road. Services will be available on the route and are marked on the cue sheet, but riders should plan on being self sufficient. We'll have a sampling of Hammer Nutrition products, water and other drinks at the start, but there will be long stretches where services will be unavailable.
